Why do beeswax taper candles tend to chip rather than shave like paraffin? Due to the natural properties of beeswax, these candles are more brittle than paraffin alternatives. The dipped design creates visible layers that may separate or chip with pressure—this is a natural characteristic of the process and not a manufacturing defect.
