The No. 3 Botanical Placemat & Napkin Set features perfectly paired, handmade, botanically dyed linen napkins and placemats to add to your seasonal table. The placemats are dyed with leftover ranunculus from our floral studio, Poppies & Poses, and cochineal. Napkins are dyed with quebracho rojo. Pair with your favorite Floral Society candles and holders for a complete tablescape.

Set includes 4 placemats & 4 napkins.

Discover the next chapter in our continuous collaboration with our friend and upstairs studio neighbor, Anne-Marie Kavulla of Pirtti. Together with our in-house floral design studio, Poppies & Posies, and in partnership with Pirtti, we’ve made a renewed commitment to circularity.

The Floral Society + Pirtti:

This capsule began with the idea of reusing wedding flowers and studio floral waste in lieu of discarding these natural materials, giving the flowers one final way of leaving a lasting impression after the event.

Each piece in this capsule is made of natural and organic fibers, bundled and dyed by the artist to create one-of-a-kind pieces in small batches. What emerges is an array of unbridled botanical colors and textures, each piece as unique as the very flowers that lent their hues.

Details + Care:

Dimensions: Mats measure 12" x 18". Napkins are 16" x 16". Both are made with 100% linen fabric.

Care Instructions: Hand or machine wash delicate with cool water and a gentle, pH neutral detergent. Air dry. Steam iron on linen setting. Avoid citrus coming in contact with the dyed pieces. Rinse citrus spills immediately with cool water. Store out of direct sunlight.  Plant dyes may shift with use, exposure to light and washing. Pieces can be dyed again to start a new cycle of color until they are no longer of service, in which case they can be composted.

Our personal feeling is that stains are like a stamp in a passport. A good time was had! A little extra care will remove some stains, but the gathering at the table is more important.

About Pirtti:

Anne-Marie is a weaver, knitter and dyer. Her interest in textiles started at a young age when her grandmother taught her how to knit. Eventually her love of textiles brought her to weaving and thus Pirtti was born. The slow process of making fabric by hand brought a greater appreciation of what goes into making clothing. A benign hand tumor allowed Anne-Marie to take a break from weaving and provided her the opportunity to explore her interests in plant dyes. Learning how to work with plant dyes has brought about a greater interest in circularity within the textile world. Anne-Marie has now expanded her work to include plant dyed accessories and is evolving towards pieces that can be mended, overdyed and when no longer of service, composted.
