An artist collaboration with Anne-Marie of Pirtti.
Together we’ve curated the perfect set of 6 handmade, botanically-dyed napkins and a table runner making it easy to style your table this season.
Runner: approximately 15” W x 96” L
Six Napkins: 16” x 16”
Dyed with expired roses from our floral studio. Napkins are dyed with cutch.
100% linen and organic cotton thread
Rinse stains immediately with cool water. (Citrus especially.)
Hand wash in cool water with gentle soap. Line dry. Iron on steam setting. Trim loose threads carefully. Store out of direct sunlight.
Plant dyes may shift with use, exposure to light and washing. Pieces can be dyed again to start a new cycle of color until they are no longer of service, in which case they can be composted.
Our personal feeling is that stains are like a stamp in a passport. A good time was had! A little extra care will remove some stains, but the gathering at the table is more important.
Anne-Marie Kavulla is a multi-disciplinary textile artist with a commitment to plant dyes, slow making, and circularity. Her knitting, weaving, dyeing, and mending practices overlap to create meditative goods that promote sustainability and celebrate the beauty of nature. Each piece is made from natural and organic materials, meant to be used, repurposed, mended, and – ultimately – composted.
